I’m baaack:
Okay, it hasn’t been that long. My last post was March 1, a little over a week ago. Things just got away from me and I needed to drop something. These posts, which I love writing, just happened to be it. The show continues…
Ruthless efficiency:
Speaking of someone who has mastered the art of his time…here’s Buffett describing his thinking on driving an older car. He doesn’t want to waste half a day learning a new one or registering it. His time is too precious. I need to get to that level of urgency about my time and say “no” more. It’s hard!
Credit where it’s due:
Way back when I was more heavily promoting my Berkshire book I created a weekly email. It tracked Buffett/Berkshire-related news and had tidbits from history, etc. Well, that sort of petered out. But I have to give credit to CNBC for creating a wonderful newsletter that has lots of Berkshire goodies and current events. They even track the Berkshire portfolio in real-time. I’d love to be all-BRK-all-the-time, but I just can’t. CNBC does it better, and I’d highly recommend you signup below (skip over the checkbox for Cramer and go right for the Buffett Watch one).
Good question on Boston Beer:
At the suggestion of a Watchlist Deep Dives subscriber I set up a Discord Channel where members can interact. It’s already proving its worth. One sharp-eyed reader of Boston Beer’s financials noticed that a line item for the same period (fiscal 2020) was different in the 2021 report compared to the original 2020 report. He asked the question on the Discord, and I did some digging to get him the answer. Win/win!
If you enjoyed this post I’d appreciate you taking a moment to help me spread the word by sharing it. Thank you!
