Copart reported Q4 and full year results — Although Q4 results showed a decline in operating income due to higher expense, full year FYE 7/31/24 results were up. FY 24 revenues were up 9.5% to $4.2 billion, operating expenses increased 9.8%, and operating expenses increased 11.8%, resulting in operating income up 5.7% to $1.57 billion. Higher interest income led to a 10.1% increase in net income. Copart ended the year with $3.4 billion in cash and investments and no debt.
BRK continues selling Bank of America — Sales total nearly $7 billion.
Boston Beer’s American Light Lager — The link is from May but I finally had a chance to try SAM’s new lager. It’s pretty good! I think it tastes very much like Modelo (perhaps no coincidence). Have you tried it, and what do you think?
BRK / BNSF — Total rail shipments jumped to above the last two years’ trend recently, boding well for BNSF.
