I love that stuff in the intro. I'm always looking for these little "investments" to make into things that will last a long time, perform better, improve quality of life, and replace a lot of crap over time.
Thanks. It makes you think about what to buy, and not necessarily on cost alone. We had some cheap Ikea silverware from our college days for a while. It always looked bad and got bent. When we upgraded to nicer stuff it was a whole new experience and will last as long as we want to keep it.

There's always a sweet spot.. go too cheap, and performance will suffer AND you may spend more over time because you have to keep replacing it.
Go too expensive and you hit diminishing returns and you aren't really getting more performance, it's mostly about status signalling or whatever.
But get it just right, and it feels great to my 'optimizer' brain :)
