I used to subscribe to OID and agree it was great and chock full of thought provoking ideas and deep dives into stock recommendations. Emerson also interjected the interviews with some humor as well. Each issue was 60 or more pages on average. They were published irregularly. Sometimes there were double issues. He also has another publication that tracked what value investors were buying before the Internet made it easier to discern this information. There was some talk of OID returning years ago. I recall a website being developed but nothing ever became of it. Henry Emerson seems to have become the J.D. Salinger of investment newsletters.
So sad that Henry passed away.
